96 Celtics, 86 Knicks
O.K. I'll control my anger now, I just needed to get that out of my system because I just hate whats going on with the Knicks this year. Everyone believe's they are a great team, everyone is hyping them up and if you think of it realistically, they are the same old Knicks. They are a 2 player team, one who's a 100 million dollar role player and one who's the most overrated "superstar" in the NBA. What really gets me this year is the media making us vs the Knicks a "rivalry", it's not. So at the end of the day all the Knicks fans chanting "Boston Sucks" just end up looking foolish (I'd be a hypocrite to say I have never chanted Yankees Suck or Beat LA, but you know what my teams were at least relevant).
Last night the Knicks could have made a statement to the NBA by beating the Celtics. They were playing a team who was on a road trip, their PG(Rondo) was playing like he lost his head, and overall they have been playing flat. The Knicks were doing their job, they were up 15 and then the Celtics taught them a little lesson in how to perform like a champion.
After halftime KG played like a man possessed he connected on seven of nine shots in the second half while pouring in a game-high 24 points with 11 rebounds, four steals and one very important jump ball that was able to let the Celtics control the clock with the lead. But the comeback was not only sparked by KG it was a total team effort, Rondo is back and was back to his pesky self as he finished with 13 points, 12 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals and one giant hustle play where the ball was bouncing out of bounds and Amare was jogging next to it and Rondo sprinted and was able to throw the ball off of Amare's knee and out of bounds.
And most importantly Paul Pierce got angry and the Knicks and Spike Lee don't want to see Paul Pierce when he's angry. He scored 13 of his 21 including a toke F U 3 in transition.
Unbelievable game, and it's always good to have Spike Lee having to get consoled by Flo Allen:
