Beckett will be having his next start pushed back due to numbness in his throwing hand. He says that he has been feeling it for a good part of the season, but it became worse before his start on Saturday. I know most people think this explains why he pitched so poorly, but I'm sorry I don't believe it. I think this is just a way to get Beckett some rest, and take the pressure off for a few days. Beckett deserves some rest, and hopefully he can get his shit together for the final playoff push. Lester will be taking Beckett's place for the Saturday start.
