J.D. Drew Heading To DL?
J.D. has been out with back spasms, and as of yesterday they have not got better. It seems more and more likely that the Red Sox will be forced to put Drew on the DL. I heard reports today that it is very likely that these spasms are caused by a herniated disk in his back. If this is the case I really don't think the Sox will get much out of Drew for the rest of the season. J.D. is just not one of those guys who plays through pain, and a herniated disk can be very unpleasant. Hopefully the Sox can fix this, but I am getting a bad feeling that J.D. could be out for the year.
