James Farrior Signs Extension With Steelers

ESPN "James Farrior was rewarded by the Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday with a five-year, $18.25 million contract. The deal included a $5 million signing bonus."

I was a little surprised by the move figuring in 2007 my Steelers drafted both Lamarr Woodley and Lawrence Timmons as his replacement. Farrior has proved that despite his age he can still play at a Pro Bowl level. He had 562 tackles in 78 starts in his five years with the Steelers. With this signing the Steelers will continue to have the best and deepest linebacking core in the NFL.
