I am surprised by this move, and even more surprised that the Patriots seem like they are planning on carrying only 2 tight ends (Benjamin Watson and David Thomas ). You would think they would want to carry more than that since Watson has a hard time staying on the field with all his injuries. Then again, the Patriots may be playing on using even more spread packages in their offense.
