1. Jerod Mayo: The Patriots almost never draft LBs, and play a very complex style of defense. Reports out of camp say he has be amazing, and has been given a chance to take the other MLB spot next to Teddy Bruschi. Tonight will be his first real test to see if he can handle this kind of defense.
2. Chad Jackson: We all know he has the skills, but can he stay on the field? Injuries have been a big problem, but if he can stay healthy he might have the opportunity to start across from Moss (with Welker in the slot).
3. Jordan/ Morris: Who will be the backup for Moroney? Morris was great last year, but then was injured, which cost him the rest of the year. Jordan is a couple years removed from being a solid RB, will this be the place he turns it back around?
4. Offensive Line: How will the react after the poor performance at the Super Bowl?
5. Brandon Meriweather: How much will he improve in his second season. We all know Harrison usually misses a couple games a season, so this will be vital to the Patriots defense.
6: Backup QBs: Who will win the battle to be the back for Brady? Has Cassell worn out his welcome?
7: Joe Flacco: I know this has nothing to do with the Patriots, but come on...you got to be interested to what this gunslinger from I-AA can do.
