J.D. Drew Is Back (no pun intended)
J.D. Drew is in the starting lineup for the Red Sox tonight against the Indians. This is really big news, because the Sox really need to get healthy, and if he is able to be in the lineup tomorrow, that would be a good sign that his back has improved a lot. In June Drew carried this team, since then he has cooled off, but he is an improvement either way over anything else the Sox can put out there (if healthy). So, now the Sox are just waiting to get Lowell back (yes, they gave up on Lugo, and if you haven't you're a damn fool). I expect to see Lowell back, as long as he can walk, by the end of the season. All this and the continued health of Josh Beckett are all positive signs heading into the postseason.
