"The Boring Era"

"Major League Baseball's attendance dropped by 1.1 percent this year, ending a streak of four straight record seasons.

Baseball finished with 78.6 million total fans and an average of 32,539, the commissioner's office said Wednesday. That was down from 79.5 million and a 32,785 average in 2007."

As I said earlier and got commented on, if we just went through the Steroid Era, this is the "Boring Era" of baseball. With the excitement of playoff baseball around us, many people such as myself have started to not follow baseball as much. Why? No steroids. Say all you want about a true fan doesn't care about homeruns and just loves the game for what it is. That is a crock of bullshit. People want to see the 60-73 homeruns in a season, they want to watch players go after a homerun race, I remember watching Mark Maguire's and Barry Bonds every at bat looking for a homerun and when they finally broke records it was the coolest thing to me. And I love watching some pitchers pitch but its aggravating watching a 3-1 game most nights. Basically my main point is that steroids saved baseball and should continue too.
