Movie Review

'Pride and Glory'
Staring: Edward Norton, Colin Farrell, Jon Voight
Directed by: Gavin O'Connor

This film was pretty much what you expected it to be. The acting was fine, but the direction was kind of iffy to me. A lot of hand held camera shots, remnicent of Bourne Ultimatum (the 3rd one). I didnt mind it that much, but it was a little bit distracting.

The Story is about a family of cops, which Farrell marries into as a cop himself. There is a huge cover up and Norton tries to get to the bottom of it but the truth isnt what he wanted it to be as he finds out his brother in law (farrell) is at the center of it all. The action sequences are pretty good i must say, but there isnt many of them until the end.

Crooked cops is basically what this whole movie is about. a quote from the movie after some cops are killed goes "You hold the anger with you, and drop everything else." That may ring true to anyone who has had a run in with an asshole cop. Anyway, the movie is worth a matinee price. I thought it was all worth is to see Colin Farrel punch a woman in the face, take the infant from her arms, put the baby down on an ironing board and pick up a hot iron....does he burn it? Go see it.

holla
