ESPN "The Boston Celtics have extended Danny Ainge's contract and given him a new job title.
Ainge, whose acquisitions of Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen spurred the Celtics to their 17th NBA title last season, was promoted to president of basbetball operations from executive director of basketball operations and GM. The team did not disclose the terms of the deal."
Danny Ainge and I had a love/ hate relationship. Just two years ago, I remember being at the garden cursing him out because he traded my all time favorite player (Antoine Walker) and then last year he pulls the greatest series of trades in Boston sports history and wins a championship. I think this is good for the team and my new opinion will be solely based on how many years he signs Rondo too. Any less then 15 is a big mistake.
