Chris Canty To Giants

Canty, according to a source, received a six-year, $42 million contract. Another source told ESPN.com's Matt Mosley that $17.25 million of the deal is guaranteed.

Chris Canty was the most sought out free agent after Albert Hayensworth was taken by the Redskins. Now Canty and Rocky Benard will be joining one of the most ferocious defensive lines in the NFL. Canty will probably move over to tackle for the Giants even though he played defensive end for the Cowboys in their 3-4 scheme. This move is only going to help the Giants defensive line and with Osi coming back from the knee injury this team will be terrifying to play against. Luckily for other teams the Giants offense is led by a terrible QB that doesn't have a winning attitude, and tends to disappear when they don't have a 6'5 receiver playing for them.
