The New Orleans Saints announced today that they’ve signed New England Patriots unrestricted free agent fullback Heath Evans to a two-year contract. Which is awesome because as much as I hate the Patriots, I really like Evans game. He is an extremely versatile FB who can run, catch, and most importantly block. Evans has done excellent work for the Pats in making sure that Tom Brady/ Matt Cassel stayed protected on blitzes. Evans will take Mike Karney's spot as the FB and will be the lead blocker for Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas. The Saints have made every right move this off-season and if they can get Darren Sharper, I will be happy.
