Not much either side could do here. Lucas was making too much, and the only team that wanted to trade for him was the Lions, which no one wants to play for. Lucas will get picked up quickly as he is a very good player, even though he struggled a little bit last year. I would say I would love to see him go to the Patriots, but I don't see them throwing down more money on another CB. I could actually see him going back to Seattle, since they are weak (other then Trufant) and it could buy them some time to draft a corner and get him used to the playbook and speed of the NFL.
