"Coach Claude Julien would not elaborate on why forwards David Krejci and Phil Kessel did not practice today, but said he is ''hopeful'' that they will be in the lineup tomorrow night when the Ottawa Senators visit Causeway Street. Julien made it sound as if both forwards were injured, but in keeping with his policy, he would not specify (Boston.com)."
Great, just what the Bruins need. The Bruins need to get their shit together, and the last thing they need is more injuries. It seems like they never have their full team on the ice. Kessel was clobbered by the Blue Jackets' Jan Hejda during Boston's 2-0 loss in Columbus last night, and could be recovering from the blow. Kessel was able to play after being hit, but that could be the reason why he is out. Krejci is much more of an unknown. I was hoping that this was just a lull in the Bruins season, but they looked tired, and overmatched lately. Hopefully they can use the next couple weeks to collect themselves and start building momentum for the playoffs.
