PITTSBURGH PENGUINS 3, WASHINGTON CAPITALS 2 (OT)
(Washington leads series 2-1)
What a phenominal game. Ovechkin scored the opener on kind of a freak play, as Marc Andre-Fleury misplayed the puck. Ruslan Fedotenko tied it for Pittsburgh in the 2nd. The unsung star of this series - Evgeni Malkin - scored a power play goal in the 3rd to give Pittsburgh a lead with 5 minutes left. Then Nicklas Backstrom tied it with 1:50 left. Pittsburgh was up against a wall in sudden death OT. Score a goal, and be reborn with a 2-1 series. Let up a goal, and face near certain death down 3-0.
11:23 into the OT, Kris Letang scored his first goal of the playoffs, slamming home a shot from the point, bulging the back of the net, and giving the Penguins a chance.

CAROLINA HURRICANES 3, BOSTON BRUINS 2 (OT)
(Carolina leads series 2-1)
Carolina's magic continues to do the trick for the Canes. The Bruins occasionally realized that putting bodies in the crease and crashing the net leads to goals. It's simple really, you put a cock and a pussy near each other, and eventually somebody will score. The same goes for hockey. You put a forward, and a goal near each other, eventually somebody will score. Both Bruins goals came from the crease.
And all 3 Carolina goals came from turnovers, a nasty habit the Bruins have picked up. And if the B's don't remedy their offensive and defensive problems, it will be another disappointing Bruins exit from the playoffs.
