120 Nuggets, 101 Lakers
STATEMENT GAME. If not for the Nuggets playing terrible at the end of the game this series could be very easily 3-1. However, the Lakers won that game and now the series is tied up at 2.
The Nuggets showed that they are a hell of a lot more than Carmelo Anthony who was hobbled by a sprained ankle and slowed by a stomach virus that had him hugging the commode before tip-off and getting IVs at halftime. Anthony had a terrible game with 15 points, however, the rest of his team picked it up and was led by Chauncey Billups and J.R. Smith who each had 24 points. The game was in Denvers hands for a majority of the game and 43 points in the 4th quarter really blew the game really open.
Also the Nuggets rebounding was outstanding as they had three players with double digit rebounds. Chris Anderson had 14, Kenyon Martin had 15 and Nene had 13. And Outrebounded the Lakers(who have two seven footers) 58 to 40. Either way it was a hell of a win and hopefully Denver can take the next two.
