Blue Jays @ Red Sox Preview
The Red Sox could do what no other team has been able to do this year...Sweep the Blue Jays. Tonight the Sox have Lester on the hill against Robert Ray. Lester has been a disappointment this season. The strange thing is he is getting a lot of strikeouts, but also a lot of hits. Tonight he will try to center himself, if he is able to then the Sox rotation will start looking how it was supposed to (especially with Beckett pitching better, and Dice-K coming back tomorrow).
The Blue Jays counter with Robert Ray who is 1-1 with a 3.60 ERA. Last time out Ray had a hell of a game going 8 innings allowing no runs and only 3 hits. Still, I expect the Sox to continue the hot bats from last night, especially against a righty.
Obviously the focus will be on Ortiz and see if he follows up his 1st HR of the year with another big game. If Lester is able to pitch the way he did last year this game should be no problem, and a win would bring the Sox within a 1/2 game of 1st place in the AL East.
