Garnett Has Knee Surgery

"The Celtics are expecting the now surgically repaired Kevin Garnett to be completely ready when training camp for the 2009-10 season begins. Garnett underwent an arthroscopy yesterday at New England Baptist Hospital that included the removal of posterior bone spurs from his right knee. The surgery was performed by Celtics physician Brian McKeon, assisted by Michael Belkin and John Richmond (Boston.com)."

Sounds like everything went well. Garnett will now be out 6-8 weeks, but will be 100% by the time camp arrives. I kind of question the Celtics medical staff, because if he had the surgery when he originally injured his knee maybe he could have come back. Then again maybe it wasn't this bad until Garnett decided to push it too soon. Either way it is in the past. The main concern is the Big 3 getting their mojo back next season even though they will be another year older.
