The Royals optioned the 25-year-old third baseman to Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday in order to clear roster space for reliever Kyle Farnsworth. The Kansas City Star reports that the demotion could have financial ramifications for Gordon, making it more difficult to reach plateaus for arbitration and free agency. ESPN
Alex Gordon sucks. He was a mega prospect that will go down as one of the biggest busts ever. I know he is only 25 but injuries and overall suckiness has marred his career significantly. I personally have an issue with him because I drafted him last year on hopes of his promise and he sucked. I hope he never touches a baseball field again and the Royals just ship him out for nothing.
