Upton said of his demotion to the No. 9 spot in the lineup, "It's almost like a kick in the face." Upton was "definitely" hurt but he isn't letting his displeasure affect his play and isn't pouting, even joking that he's primarily a defensive player now. Upton called the 9-hole "like the other leadoff spot (Sportsline)."
I think B.J. Upton should shut the fuck up. The kid is batting .237 with only 7 HRs, and 37 RBIs. Yes he has 25 SBs, but you need to be getting on base if you want to stay near the top of the lineup. Upton has all the potential in the world, but he just can't seem to put it together for a long period of time. We saw what he could do in the playoffs last year, but he needs to learn how to be a lot more consistent.
