"Record-setting quarterback Brett Favre is expected to sign with the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday, WCCO-TV in Minneapolis reported, citing a high-level source with the team. WCCO-TV spoke with an official at the airport in Favre's hometown of Hattiesburg, Miss., who saw an airplane with the Vikings logo leave the airport Tuesday morning. The Associated Press is reporting that Favre arrived at a St. Paul airport and departed in an SUV for a meeting with Vikings officials. Asked if the plan was to sign Favre on Tuesday, Vikings coach Brad Childress told the Associated Press: "In a perfect world (Sportsline)."
I fucking hate this as much as everyone else. Favre has taken a career that was one of the most storied in NFL history and has proceeded to take a huge dump on it. He is a joke, but it a weird way I love this. I know hold on....let me explain.
I know Favre sucks. I know the Vikings are worse off with him then without him. I am also a Packers fan (Patriots #1, but I do have love for the Packers), and I really think this helps the Packers. Favre is going to shit the bed, and it is really too bad because the Vikings are not far off from being an elite team.
And yes I would much rather have Sage Rosenfels as my QB...
