"The Boston Herald reports that Red Sox OF Jason Bay's day off on Sunday was a scheduled day off, not just a rest day for the hamstring he strained on Saturday. "It's a little refresher," Bay said. "You're getting toward the last part of the season. These games get more magnified. You want to be more fresh. It works out well (Sportsline)."
Jason Bay has really slowed down over the last month or so, but hopefully these two straight days off will get him going. Overall I am not worried about him his OBP is still fantastic (.382), and his power numbers have been there all year (20 HR 71 RBI). It sounds like he should be back tomorrow, and the Sox lineup with the addition of V-Mart looks filthy...
