Yea, some people might be pissed that Adam Jones is rated higher then David Price, but this kid can flat out play right now...
This year his his break out year. He is currently batting .292 with 19 HRs and 65 RBIs. Not bad for a kid that is only 24 years old. If you know baseball then you would know that hitters usually do not find their stride until they are 27 years old. It is scary to think about what this kid is going to be able to do. He still needs to work on being more disciplined at the plate, but he is improving every year, and is a stud in the outfield, and can make a difference on the base paths as well.
He was originally drafted by the Seattle Mariners with the 37th pick of the 2003 Major League Baseball Draft. He was actually drafted as an shortstop and a pitcher. Yea....that is how much of an athlete he is. He decided that he liked playing everyday better, so he chose the shortstop. The Mariners needed outfielder bad, so they moved him out there and he hasn't looked back.
Jones was traded to the Baltimore Orioles along with left-handed reliever George Sherrill and minor league pitchers Kameron Mickolio, Chris Tillman, and Tony Butler for the left-handed starting pitcher Érik Bédard. What a fucking steal for the Orioles, who now have one of the best young outfields in all of baseball. Keep an eye on this kid, because he has not even come close to his ceiling, and we could be talking about an MVP in 2-3 years (if the Orioles ever become a half decent team).
