Matt Light Losing Job?

"The legend of Tom Brady taking over for the injured Drew Bledsoe in 2001 -- and leading the team to a Super Bowl championship -- is a tale that will be told for generations over the sweeping hills of New England. As of this season, there might be an epilogue involving another key element to the Pats' offense.

According to the Boston Herald's Ian Rapoport, rookie Sebastian Vollmer's promotion to starting left tackle might stick, even after Matt Light comes back from injury. While the 31-year-old Light -- a member of the franchise's 50th Anniversary team -- was eventually expected to relent his hold on the position, this would be an acceleration of that timeline (ESPN)."

This could get very interesting. Matt Light was playing solid, but Vollmer has been a beast. Light is one of the main reasons the Patriots lost the Super Bowl to the Giants, and we might be watching one of the best offensive linemen the Patriots have ever had on his way out....
