Dice-K is working out with some other Japanese pitchers in Arizona right now. There has been a lot of grumbling from the Sox, since Dice-K came out and stated that he basically hid his injury from last season. As I said the other day, I really don't care as long as he is in shape, and ready to go for this season. Reports say that he is looking good, but until I hear it from Francona or someone on the Red Sox staff I don't put too much stock in it.
In other Red Sox news, they signed a left reliever name Brian Shouse. Shouse, 41, posted a 5.5 K/9, 2.3 BB/9, and 4.50 ERA in 28 innings for the Rays last year, but missing a chunk of the season with an elbow strain. He is a lefty specialist, and could be a nice little addition to the Sox bullpen...
