Paul Pierce Back Tonight, House Will Not

On the day that the Boston Celtics' Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo returned to the practice court, Kendrick Perkins and Eddie House were sidelined by a bout with the flu.

Pierce and Rondo could rejoin the starting lineup Wednesday night in Miami as the Celtics kick off a three-game road trip (though Celtics coach Doc Rivers noted that Rondo is more of a game-time decision). Perkins traveled with the team to Florida Tuesday afternoon, but House, who was still nursing a fever, did not (though he could join the team Wednesday if he's feeling better). ESPN

Well it looks like the C's might be without Perk and House tonight, but get Pierce and Rondo back, which is huge. The Celtics could only survive for so long with Tony Allen and JR Giddens in the starting lineup. Losing House isn't that big of a deal because he can be replaced with Tony Allen. But losing Perk might hurt because of his defensive presence and low post play. I'll be able to tell you more later when I do the pregame.
