I have tried to be as optimistic as I can, but I will admit it is really tough right after you got swept by the worst team in baseball. I think the Sox will somewhat turn it around. Beckett, Lester, and Lackey will pitch better. V-Mart, and Drew will hit better, and they will get healthier in the outfield. Still, all of that doesn't excuse getting swept by the AAA Orioles.
Tonight Boston has Buchholz, who has been their best pitcher so far this year, going again Jor Saunders, who hasn't been very good with a 1-4 record and a 5.74 ERA. Buchholz turned in his best outing of the season Tuesday at Toronto, allowing one run in eight innings of a 2-1 victory. He seems to have turned the corner, and I expect it to continue tonight.
Saunders sucks, and I am suck of people thinking he is good, so fuck it. The Sox are winning this game. I know I have picked them every game this year, but I just can't pick Joe Saunders.
