Flyers @ Bruins: Game 2

Boston was able to get the overtime win in the first game. Boston dominated the first period, but the Flyers showed that they are for real, as they dominated most of the 2nd and 3rd period before Boston put them away in overtime. Bruins got bad news today, as Marco Sturm is done for the year with a torn MCL/ACL. This will obviously hurt the Bruins, as they already have trouble scoring as it is, but there are few teams that have gotten over more injuries then the Bruins (well maybe the Flyers), so this can't be used as an excuse.

The good news is that Savard is only going to get better as his legs get under him, and Rask will not let in a soft goal like he did last game. I really like the way Boston crashed the next in the first period and overtime, and would like to see them keep that up. Guys like Lucic really are a lot more reliable when they are causing havoc in front of the other teams net.

Even with the win in Game 1 Boston has to come out and play hard tonight. If Philly wins the Bruins lose home ice, and that could be very important as the series goes on. I think we are going to have another nail biter tonight, but I do expect more physical play along the boards.

Bruins win 3-2
Players of the Game: 1. Bergeron 2. Rask 3. Wideman

Game starts at 7pm on Versus
