Cam Neely will be promoted to Bruins president this afternoon at a news conference at the Garden. The Bruins have been without a president since Sinden held the position prior to Chiarelli’s hiring in 2006. I think this is a great move. Neely seems to be at ever game, and really cares about what the Bruins are doing. Then again I would basically be happy with anyone not named Sinden or Jacobs.
Anyways, Neely is a Hall of Famer and a legend in the Bruins organization, so it is always nice to see a guy like that still play an important role in the ongoing development of the franchise.
