Ellsbury is still out with broken ribs, and there is still no word on when he could be back. The latest news is that Ellsbury is Boras are flying around to get a 2nd opinion on his ribs. The Sox have misdiagnosed this injury twice, but there are also rumors that Boras wants Ellsbury to sit out till he is 100%.
Manager Terry Francona said via the Boston Globe he has talked to Boras and the agent will try to get Ellsbury another opinion at the Kerlan-Jobe clinic in Los Angeles. Any talk of a 2nd opinion means that he isn't any closer to returning. I really wish I could even give a guess, but my hope is that he is back by July 4th (but that may be hopeful).
