A's @ Red Sox Preview
The Red Sox have been getting back on track in recent weeks, but they really need Lackey (tonight's pitcher) to start playing a lot better. The good news is that Lackey has dominated the A's in his career (16-4 2.76 ERA). It doesn't get much better then those stats right there.
It won't be easy tonight for the Sox as they go against Gio Gonzalez who has finally figured out how to control his stuff. Gio is looking for his 3rd straight win. He is 5-3 with a 3.54 ERA, and I don't like this matchup for the Sox since he is a lefty strikeout pitcher.
Still, I think the Sox win tonight. They have been on a roll (winning 10 of their last 13), and although the A's are in first place in the AL West they are only 10-15 on the road.
Boston win 5-4
