To me having the SEC or Pac 10 having Texas, OU, and Texas Tech in their respective conferences seems stupid to me. I know this is money driven and really has nothing to do with the schools themselves but do you really thing Alabama or USC really want to go through Texas and Oklahoma? No.
Yes it will make for a much more competitive conference but it will create a constant mess in BCS rankings and will make it that much harder to get into the National Championship game.
I don't really understand the need to do this, but I really hate expansion in college football.
