The Bruins have earned at least one point in 6 straight games (4-0-2) and are atop the Northeast Division, but that could change tonight as the Wild have never lost in Boston (5-0-0), and are 8-1-1 all time against the Bruins.
Still, I like the way the Bruins have been playing recently. I don't think they are peaking by any stretch, but they are at least starting show signs that they have an offense. A big part of that will be the play of Marc Savard. If they Bruins want to have any shot doing damage in the playoffs they are going to need Savard to be one of their premier players. Guys like Savard and Krejci are what makes this offense. They are the guys that can get Horton, Lucic (needs one more goal to tie career high in goals 17), Ryder, ect going on offense.
The Bruins have some of the best goaltending in the NHL no matter if Thomas or Rask is in net. I truly believe that (while I acknowledge that Thomas is better), and the defense as usual is very strong.
I am a bit nervous about this game, because the Wild have 2 decent goalies and I just don't trust the Bruins offense. Still, I think the Bruins squeak out a win and keep this points streak alive.
Bruins win 3-2
Player of the Game: Savard
Game starts at 7pm on NESN.
