Kevin Faulk to Retire?

"Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald caught up with New England Patriots veteran Kevin Faulk as the RB was visiting heart transplant patients at Brigham & Women's Hospital.

"I honestly don't know," Faulk admitted. "Like my wife tells me, 'You're giving me so many different scenarios, so many different feelings about coming back. You want to play, you don't want to play.' I still love the game of football. It's just a factor of how my body feels. I got to be real about that, I've been playing a long time. I've been fortunate enough. Is it time to let it go? Is it time to come back (ESPN)?"

Faulk is one of my favorite Patriot players of all-time and it would be sad to see him go, but I think it may be time. The Patriots seemed to have somewhat moved on when Woodhead ended up being a very affective 3rd down back. I am just not sure how they would fit Faulk back into their backfield plans. Plus, Faulk is saying his health is still only 75%, so at his age (35 in June) I just don't know if that knee is going to bounce back the way he wants it to.
