Bruins vs. Hurricanes Recap

So last night like I said, the Bruins played like a potential playoff team, defeating the Carolina Hurricane 3-2 in sudden death. The Bruins started off this game hard hitting, and Lucic dropping the gloves, despite the fact that he’s still recovering from a broken nose. The only problem once again for the Bruins is the 11 penalties they had, three of which were five-minute majors for fighting. B’s coach Claude Julien is trying to make his team play 60 minutes of hockey, unfortunately the B’s only ended up playing about 57 minutes of regulation by allowing the Hurricane to score two goals in the last minute of the game. What the fuck! Yes, Carolina netted two goals without a goalie in, but come on, our defense needs to step up if they are going to play a team like the Hurricane in the playoffs. You need to play 60 minutes of hard-hitting hockey basically the bottom line. Oh yea and Tim Thomas, yea he’s once again the life saver with 45 saves, which is very impressive for one of the highest scoring teams in the NHL. OK, so looking to the future. Look forward to seeing the Bruins continue this streak on Thursday against the Panther’s. For some reason we always come on slow against the Panthers, so hopefully the B’s play 60 solid minutes of hockey and take home a win and another two points.
