Celtics - Pistons Pre-Game

If anyone is excited about a high octane, intense, defensive game, this is going to be it. Tonight is the battle of the East; the 46-12 Celtics host the 42-13 Pistons. Tonight's game has a fewof implications other than bragging rights. If the Celtics win, they clinch a play-off spot and home court if it goes to a tie breaker, and if they lose, they lose home court if their is a tie breaker between the Pistons. The starting line-up for the Celtics is Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Kendrick Perkins and Chauncey Billups, Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Antonio McDyess and Rasheed Wallace. However, they might not be the reasons why any of these clubs win tonight.

If we Remember from the first match-up, this foul:
Cost us the game. I don't blame Tony, he was just put in a shitty situation.

In the second game, Big Baby, Ticket Stub, Glen Davis put the game away with clutch lay-ups and free throws. But Jason Maxiell was almost too much to handle.

The bench will be intricate in this match up. James Posey, Tony Allen, Big Baby, Leon Powe, and Eddie House will need to play flawless games if they want to grind this one out.

The Celtics will probably be without P.J. Brown, and Sam Cassell (who won't be with the team until Friday). Rajon will have a man sized task of covering Chauncey Billups. If he can use his quickness, and smarts on defense he will be the player of the game. Prediction: The Celtics will shut up their critics tonight and win by 10.

Tommy Award winner Rajon Rondo
