Hey hope everyone is having an awesome summer. Just wanted to post some new info that has happened with Lost as we are in the long wait til season five starts up in Jan/Feb 09.
1) Lost stars syndication on September 15th on the Sci-Fi channel. Every Monday night from 7-11pm they will run mini marathons of 4 straight hours starting with the very 1st episode. Since the Sci-Fi channel recently went HD, this is even more of a bonus. Also a channel called G-4 (which is channel 219 with Comcast around the Boston area) is going to start showing Lost sometime this fall. G-4 is going to broadcast it as Lost 2.0, where it will have interactive trivia questions and commentary from the producers/director as the episodes plays out.
2) Recently Co-Producers Carlton Cuse/Damon Lindelof joined Matthew Fox in answering some questions at a convention concerning the future of certain cast mates. Basically here are the big points they touched on. Jin & Locke will both play significant roles in the show and there is a lot of story still left to be told for each character
*We will see Rousseau’s story this year – not necessarily a flash back – and there was further mention of different story-telling device to be used this year rather than flash forwards or flash backs; I’m having a hard time figuring out what that could mean…
*Kate will eventually see Sawyer again – and the love triangle still has quite a bit left in terms of figuring out who Kate ultimately ends up with
*We will not know when and where we are when Season 5 begins in February. The season will take place both on and off Island, in various times. (this info was reported lostblog.net)
3) They also touched on one of my favorite characters Mr Eko, here is what they said. "Mr. Eko was a character we really loved," Cuse said of the role played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. Turns out the British actor didn't like living and working on an island."Hawaii was not his bag," Cuse continued. "Real life intervened and forced us to end the arc of that character much sooner than we would have liked."
No word on whether Mr. Eko will come back when "Lost" returns this fall. Man that be sick if they brought that dude back, he was bad ass.
4) Here is a video preview of season 5. They make it look like it's stolen, but it's on abc.com
5) Finally, they have created a Dharma website where you go and sign up to join Dharma, starting by taking a visual test online. I don't know what to make of this so far, but it is interesting, I would recommend you guys checking it out at least, it is kinda a diversion till the season finally starts up. I put the link below. Peace
