The Broncos hosted the Chargers this afternoon in what i feel was the most exciting game of the day. The game was well balanaced throughout by these 2 teams who both had something to prove. Cutler was out to prove he was the real deal, and the Chargers out to prove they are still contenders in the league.
The end of the 4th quarter was where the magic happened. After going up by 7 the chargers couldnt hold off the Broncos. There was a controversal call in the redzone where Cutler fumbled, they blew the whistle making the play dead, the chargers recovered but it didnt matter. The ref said it was indeed a fumble but since the whistle was blown the ball is dead at the spot and it remained Den ball.
So Shanahan says fuck it, we're playing on house money now, lets go for it all. After Cutler finds the rookie Royal in the endzone for 6, Shanahan amazingly goes for the 2 point conv with something like 28 seconds left. Unfucking believable in todays NFL. They complete the play and Mike Shanahan shows the world how big his balls are. Hats off to Cutler who took advantage of the missed call, but more so to Shanahan the motherfucking man.
