Brady Injury Update
There are reports coming out from multiple sources that Tom Brady tore both the ACL and MCL in his left knee. The good news is there is no damage to other knee ligaments, and there is no torn cartilage in either knee. Basically, this changes nothing, Brady will be out for 6-9 months. They will have to wait a month before doing the surgery so that the MCL will heal, and then they can move on to repairing the ACL. People shouldn't get too concerned, because Willis McGahee had the same injury and he has been able to come back. Plus, Brady is a pocket passer, so the stress on his knee is a lot less then a players like Willis McGahee.
The Patriots also resigned Matt Gutierrez to its practice squad today, so now they have 3 QBs that know the system. I actually thought Gutierrez out played Cassell in the preseason, so it will be interesting to see what happens as the season develops.
