The New York Giants signed Plaxico Burress to a 5 year extension today, only about an hour before the kickoff of the NFL season. The deal guarantees Burress 11 million this year, which is much better than they 3.25 million he was due before he signed. I don't like the length of this contract since he is always injury prone, but in the NFL it doesn't matter, because you can always just cut the guy. This should be Plaxico Burress happy, so maybe he will actually attend some offseason workouts.
