The Celtics have given Doc Rivers an extension through the 2010-2011 season.
Many people have gone through phases with Doc Rivers, but I have always liked him. I don't necessarily agree with his coaching strategies(Sam Cassell in the play-offs) but I do love his very distinct voice and laid back atmosphere. Doc deserves to get an extension after being able to curb the egos of Garnett, Pierce and Allen and convince them in the team concept. He also has developed many young players(Rajon, Leon, Glenn Davis and hopefully Gabe Pruitt) to be very good role players and budding stars.
