Could have used this last week you say? Blow me, I had better things to do. For the next 16 weeks, you can expect this around 3:00 PM on Fridays.
Week 2 Slate - CBS gets the double up.
1 O'Clock Games:
Most of the country will be treated to Indy @ Minnesota. Indy's currently a 2.5 point favorite. 2 years removed from a Super Bowl and they are barely favored against a team led by Tavaris Jackson. Are you shitting me? Gumbal and Deirdorf got the call. If you are on the West Coast, boy are you in for a treat. Oak @ KC. What a suckfest.
Fox will be showing the early game for most locales. I think it is safe to say there is not one good NFC game on Sunday with the exception of Chicago @ Carolina. So if you live in the Southwest, good news for you. The Northeast pulls the Joe Buck/Troy Aikman special with the NY Giants @ St Louis. Could be worse I guess.
4 O'Clock Games:
Pretty even split here with half the country getting the Pats/Jets and the other half San Diego/Denver. Not sure which one I would rather here, both are intriguing to say the least. Nantz and Simms will be working the Pats (there's a shocker) while Enberg and Randy Cross will be out in Denver. How many no so subtle jabs will Simms take at Cassell following the Pats thanks but no thanks treatment of Phil's son? If you live in Southern Florida or Arizona have fun with the Fins/Cardinals.
