I didn't see this coming. But guess what league? We're Back!!!
Last night, and even last week has been extremely condusive to the Celtics efforts to win another championship. The reasoning has to be credited to the blowouts we have had on teams. Again last night the Celtics starters got plenty of rest as they averaged around 30 minutes each.
The key to this win was the fast start, in the first quarter the Celtics jumped out to a 30 to 15 point lead and the Suns just seemed to be lost for the rest of the game. To hold Amare Stoudemire to 3 points, Jason Richardson to 8 and Steve Nash to 12 is extremely impressive. The Celtics had the Suns on their heels the whole game and the was due to "The Great Facilitator" Rajon Rondo. Rajon had 23 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds before sitting the whole 4th quarter. The interesting thing about Rajon is that Boston to 21-3 when he scores in double figures. So that goes to show you how much of an impact player he actually is.
Even though Shaq had 16 points and 11 rebounds, KG and Big Baby did a great job on guarding him. They did their best to keep him away from the rim, but as you would assume that is not an easy task. If you don't take it from me, this is what KG had to say about the subject: "It was like holding up a wall," Garnett said. "Go home, knock out the foundation in your house and hold up the wall. When it's about to fall on you, that's what it's like guarding Shaq."
Anyways this was a great win, and a great start to the tough week.
