The Browns have moved quickly to hire a new head coach, as today they decided on Eric Mangini. The deal is for 4 years, no word for how much. I really like this hiring by the Browns, since I really didn't think that Mangini deserved to get fired from the Jets. The only reason he got fired was because Brett Favre sucks, and the whole world over rates him. The Jets were not that great of a team, and you aren't going to make the playoffs if you QB is throwing like 9 picks a game. I know the whole "Patriots descendants don't work out" idea is always floating about, but I actually think Mangini is a good coach. I hate him, since I am a Patriots fan, but I do believe he is a solid coach. It is funny after the whole "spygate" thing, most people thought if Mangini ever lost his Jets job that he would never get another job again....that didn't last long.
