I always had a special place in my heart for Jeff Kent, because he hated Barry Bonds. Sure, Kent was also an asshole, but his hatred of Bonds gives us something in common, and that's a start. Kent is one of the best second baseman to ever play the game, and will be a first ballot Hall of Famer. His 351 HRs give him more HRs than any second baseman ever. He also broke his wrist popping wheelies in a parking lot, then said he hurt himself washing his car (see...asshole/badass). All is forgiven because of his awesome mustache. Here is a quick list of other accomplishments:
- 5-time All-Star (1999-2001, 2004-05)
- 4-time Silver Slugger (2000-2002, 2005)
- National League MVP (2000)
- Finished Top-5 in RBIs (1997, 1998, 2000, 2002)
- Only second baseman to have 100 or more RBIs in 6 consecutive seasons (1997-2002)
- One fantastic mustache
