"The New Orleans Saints hired Gregg Williams to fill their vacant defensive coordinator's post and revive a defense that allowed 339.5 yards per game. Coach Sean Payton announced the hiring Thursday (ESPN)."
This is a great move. I know Williams' Jags defense struggled last year, but that team was a mess, and a lot of that had to do with Del Rio. In 5 of the last 8 years Williams' defense have ranked in the top 10 (3 of those 5 years they were top 3). The Saints have a lot of work to do, but they have some talent on that defense (Vilma), and I think that with a couple offseason moves, and some good drafting they can improve their horrid defensive numbers. The Saints don't need a great defense, as their offense is so good (much like the Colts). If the Saints can stay healthy next year I really think they could be in the NFC Championship game.
