Tom Brady Injury Update (kind of)

There are a lot of sites reporting that Tom Brady is "doing well", as he tries to return from his knee injury, but in normal Patriot fashion there is very little we can learn from Tom Brady's comments...

"It's going really well," said Brady of his rehab. "Anyone who's come back from injuries that require surgery knows it's just a process and there are some good days, some bad days and you just have to keep plugging through them (Sportsline)."

The only good news, in my eyes, is if his rehab was going really bad he probably would not be making any public comments. My guess is that they have this injury under control and he will be ready to go in 2009, but once again that is just an educated guess from what I have been reading from ESPN, Boston Globe, and Sportsline. It is good to see that Brady sounds upbeat even with the loss of so many coaches...

"There's change every year and you have to get used to it," he said, adding that the team's ownership and head coach remain intact. "As long as we have Robert and Jonathan Kraft and as long as we have coach (Bill) Belichick we'll be just fine," he said (Sportsline)."

In the end we will learn very little about Brady's injury until the draft (in my opinion). If they franchise Cassel, which is said to be the case, then the most likely time to trade him will be right before the draft. I think we can make a better educated guess during that time.
