Weekly Rant

Here is your weekly rant from The Answer, titled Disappointed.

What a let down the Suns and Celtics game was. Of course I love watching the Celtics blow teams out, but the Suns are supposed to be good. I was expecting a hard fought game that game down to the wire. On paper, the Suns match up evenly with the Celtics and maybe even have the edge when it come to the bench because of Barbosa. But in a nut shell...they fucking suck. I mean 9 turnovers in the first quarter and you call yourselves a basketball team. It pathetic. Honestly with that group and they aren't a premier team, I say it's coaching. It has to be, what else could it be when your starting 5 has 3 definite hall of famers, and 1 possible, and the other is an all star. Not to mention 6th man of the year. I think the Suns are a disgrace. Though they are on the older side with Hill, Shaq and Nash, still, doesn't mean you should suck. It's not just this game, I think they've been under achieving all year.

HOW GOOD IS RODNEY STUCKEY?

Good question right? Because in Detroit the talk, the meeting, the news we are all waiting to hear is, who's going to come off the bench Allen Iverson or Rip Hamiton. Now I love The Answer, I hate Rip, but feelings aside this is a stupid problem to have. This should have been thought about when they made this trade. And I think this proves the trade was so fucking stupid on Detroit's part. Iverson will make any team better, but he's a guy you need to build around. You can't just put him into a system that's been intact for years. I think this was a "video game trade." Something great if your simulating the season, but this is real life, sorry guys. This is a lose lose situation for Detroit. A better trade would have been Rip for Iverson. This situation wont go any further than this year, and it wouldn't shock me to see the guy that goes to the bench get shipped out before the trade deadline. Unlikely, but wouldn't shock me at all. But the fact that Rodney Stuckey isn't an option going back to the bench, just shows me something I already knew. This kid is fucking amazing. He's no Rondo, but he can throw it down and has great court vision. The fact this young stud is staying in the line up over two hall of famers has to say something about the commitment Detroit has to Stuckey. I really don't know what Detroit is going to do. If it were me, I would make Iverson play point guard, or, trade Rip for a decent center which the Pistons really need. Regardless they probably wont do either and I think Detroit is going to suck due to horrible GM tactics, but hey...not everyone and be Danny Ainge.

SHOULD HE BE A STARTER?

No question in everyone's mind that Rondo should make the all star team. But should he be a starter. Every point guard match up this year Rondo has won except against Chris Paul (who's in the west) Who in the east is having a better year than Rondo? Harris just got man handled, twice by double R. Andre Miller plays a very boring style of game, but he could be an argument. Mo Williams, behind all the hype he has I don't really think he's having all that good a year. I guess if your counting it as just guards and not point guard then okay I get it, but really the only player who gives him a run is Raymond Felton or Derrick Rose. I think for the point guard position Rondo is top 3 in the NBA, he should start in my book, but he might not even make it, and that's fucking sad.
