Latest Mike Lowell Rumors
Rumors have suggested throughout that the Rangers were the most likely landing spot for Lowell. That no longer seems to be the case. The Rangers have lost interest during Lowell's 2-for-22 slump that has dropped his average to .229. The Sox are still shopping him, but there are few teams that seem to have interest.
One team that is kicking the tires is the Seattle Mariners, who just lost Griffey to retirement. It makes sense to me, and I think Lowell's struggles have more to do with the lack of regular playing time then any kind of injury.
The Rangers could come back into the picture if their young first baseman (Smoak) continues to struggle.
