The Sox are going to have to battle through injuries like they have all season now that Dice-K and Hermida join Beckett and Ellsbury on the DL. Dice-K felt soreness in his forearm, which caused the Sox to pull him from his start and place him on the DL. The good news here is that he is not scheduled for an MRI, which could be a good sign that this is only a minor setback.
Hermida on the other hand seems to be going down the same road as Ellsbury. After running into Beltre, Hermida now has also has five fractured ribs, and will be out at least a couple weeks.
Ellsbury will most likely be out until after the All-Star break, but Beckett should be back sooner as he has already started bullpen sessions. I would expect to see Beckett back on the mound by the end of the month.
